Every summer Saint Marguerite Bourgeoys sponsors its own vacation Bible camp. The camp is meant to utilize children’s free time to learn about their faith in a relaxed, prayerful and very fun environment. The camp is five days in July, and includes some exercises in Bible lessons, crafts, music, snacks, and outdoor recreation. Most of the three hour period is spent outdoors on the beautiful grounds of the church. This past year (2000) nearly 120 children registered, and focused on the structure and sacrifice of the Catholic Mass as taught in the Bible. Feedback from parents, children, and over fifty volunteers was unanimous excitement and satisfaction. Next year promises to be bigger and better.
