Shrine of the Holy Innocents

This Shrine of the Holy Innocents at St. Marguerite Church is dedicated to the Memory of Children who have died before birth.

A statue of an Angel of Light has been set on the church grounds in a pond situated in a beautifully landscaped area. Visitors will find it quite peaceful to sit at the shrine and spend a few moments in prayer for those memorialized.

Children who have died before birth often have no grave or marker, and may not have a name. At this Shrine of the Holy Innocents, you may give a child a name and have the name included in our “Book of Innocents”.

On the First Friday of each month, Mass is celebrated at our church in honor of these children and for the comfort of their families.

If you, or someone within your immediate or extended family, has lost a child who has not been named or memorialized, we invite you to consider this shrine as a fitting memorial. Please give us the name of the child who has died unborn by filling out the form below and sending it to us. You may send a first and/or last name. Or you may simply state “a child”. The important point is that your child will be remembered at the Shrine and honored by all that pray here.
