This window, from the Saint John Nepomucene collection, is specially configured to be the centerpiece of both Mary and the Peragallo organ pipes expected when funding is available. The pipes (six ranks of them) will cascade in front of the window's blue fields and sweeping to the center with trumpets jauntily protruding from a shelf below the center of the window. Pewter and gold, the pipes will surround Mary and emphasize her royal beauty with the Christ Child on her knee, Saints Methodius and Cyril at her side, and the shield of the Austria-Hungary Empire beneath her feet. The Pipes will cost $89,500 and hopefully precede a needed organ scheduled for the year 2005 - God willing. The pipes can be memorialized completely or in six sections (ranks), at $14,916 per rank. The window (called the Priest's Window, for it is seen by the priest during the Great Elevation) faces the altar and is beautifully reflected in the polished granite floor directly before the altar. Please come and visit... it is so very beautiful... |
