Church Rules for Lenten Fasting and Abstinence are contained in Canon Law.
Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are days of fast and abstinence.
All Fridays of Lent are days of abstinence.
Abstinence means that you do not eat meat or meat products.
During days of Fast, one full meal
and two smaller meals are permitted.
The combined size of the smaller meals
must not equal the single full meal.
Also, there is no eating between meals.
